Depends on your current level of ability and most importantly, whether you have a fear of the water. It also depends on how often you plan to practice (if at all, between sessions). Some people classify themselves as a beginner but already have experience with moving through water (chest or neck deep)….
So yes, it’s possible! Generally the more basic level you start at, the more frequent I recommend practicing in the water - so you do not lose momentum, skills and building your confidence. (I have helped many beginners based on running an intensive course with daily lessons).
